  • Adrift

    $70.00

    Adrift

    $70.00

Adrift is a dreamy, fantastical plating option. Each piece is handmade, and no two are the same. The leaf platform provides a showstopper backdrop for nigiri, caprese or dumplings. This piece may not be stacked, but you’ll want to leave it out when not in service. A grouping of Adrifts becomes an armada of whimsy. The engraving on Adrift mean sauce stays where you put it, with a variegated green gloss glaze.

Adrift is a limited edition, and when out of stock, will not be reproduced.

  • Artichoke Vessels

    $145.00

    Artichoke Vessels

    $145.00

Artichokes are meant to be enjoyed in their full stemmed glory, and the modern experience of just throwing them down on a plate, circumcised of their stem, leaves something to be desired. These vessels allow you to keep as much as a 5″ stem on your artichoke (or not, it will be fine without one). The vessel gives you ample room for a broth or sauce directly in front of you, allowing less distance for the dripping we all know is going to happen, because gravity. Rather than looking for room on the plate to stow discarded leaves, this provides a deep well for all the detrius, while keeping the choke itself elevated above it. The dish is large enough to have a presence at the table and during presentation, but light enough its easy to carry with one hand. More importantly, these dishes simply do not exist elsewhere- there are no artichoke dishes.

Cereal Bowls in Snow & Cobalt

    $30.00$110.00

These bowls are the first thing to be picked up at any show. The melting blue glazes catch everyone’s eyes, but their shape and size molds perfectly to your hands. But you don’t have to just eat cereal out of them, they’re also perfect for ice cream, soup or salad. But not kale, because kale is awful. They stack beautifully and have a great weight. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

    Cumulus Bowl

    $52.00

These quirky bowls were inspired by cloud patterns. They look tipsy, but always come back to center. Fill them with crushed ice and oysters on the halfshell, or salad (but no kale- kale is horrible) or a bowl of ramen. It would look delightful full of lemons you’ll never use, resting on a coffee table, but the unglazed exterior begs to be held. Each is one of a kind.

  • Divot

    Divot

    $26.00

Divot is ideal anytime a dish needs a pinch of something-that tiny bit of fresh grated wasabi you’d serve with sashimi- or the chili flakes you’d serve on the side. Or maybe some maldon salt, or grated ginger and radish on the side of hiyayakko. The dark oceany glaze flashes black and blues, and is a good gloss. Divot stacks 3 high, is dishwashable and an easy plate to serve. Even with a curved base it sits solidly on the table, holding about 3.5oz and .5 oz of condiment and is dishwashable.

Divot is made to order, production time is 6-8 weeks.

  • Ear

    $38.00

    Ear

    $38.00

Ear was inspired by whole animal butchers who came for a studio visit. This small plate features a soft shino speckled glaze that changes on each piece due to the nature of firing, and has a curved bottom that balances perfectly, elevating your food off the table, reaching for the customer. The magical thing about ear is how perfectly your thumb fits perfectly into the crook of the ear for service. Ear isn’t explicit- it hints at its origin: a real pig ear- and would be the perfect foil for small-medium plates, sides or starters. But it would be an ironic twist for some aubergine and greens.

Ear is made to order, production time is 8-10 weeks.

    Leaf

    $28.00

Leaf is a great alternative to a traditional ramekin or garnish bowl.  Each handmade piece is hand carved and formed. The leaves rock when you play with them, on a soft, unglazed surface, but with a bowl like form, whatever is inside, whether food or sauce, won’t spill out and left alone, balance perfectly.  The interior is glazed in a beautiful verdant green gloss glaze that speckles and pools, so the carving doesn’t hinder spoons or forks. Leaves don’t stack well, but may be stored on their side, where they nest against eachother.

Once out of stock, Leaf is made to order. Production time is 6-8 weeks.

  • Meadow

    Meadow

    $72.00

A truly unique restaurant piece- a patch of ceramic grass that will help any bite you want defy gravity by sitting on top. A flexible base like a watermelon radish will bend to the grass, while a stiff base like fried food will rest, almost inexplicably, on top. These are delicate, but with care will last, and are surprisingly strong. The variated chrome green glaze flashes bronze, green and brown and hints at grass without being comical. No two pieces are the same.

Meadow is made to order, production time is 7-9 weeks.

    Melting Cloud Coffee Cup

    $28.00

Not everyone loves a mug. There is an epidemic of handleless coffee cups these days and I get it. The handle really impedes with your ability to smugly cup your mug with a hand on your ‘gram. All that negative space in the pic leaves plenty of room to tag the artisanal purveyor of your hand foraged beans. These coffee cups feature a *perfect void* where your handle would be. Each 10oz mug starts with a hand stamped slab so each and every one is different. They’re then constructed by hand with a textured pattern inside, and glazed so each cloud melts. These are dishwasher safe and pretty darn delightful.
